Education

  • Ph.D. Candidate, Forest Ecology & Management, Fall 2005 -
  • M.S. Forest Ecology & Management, UW-Madison, Summer 2005
  • B.S. Biological Research with Chemistry minor, Loras College, 2002

    Research Interests
Jenny is currently examining how total soil carbon and its fractionations into aggregates differ under species, and is also working on examining soil carbon fractionations, and soil respiration following gap treatments in the northern hardwood forests. Jenny also has a strong interest in identifying how land-use change may cause shifts in microbial communities, specifically shifts in the ratio of fungi to bacteria. On the Lighter Side
Jenny enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, running, camping, and canoeing. Other interests include reading, cooking, volleyball, and spending time with family and friends.
