Assistant Scientist

Education

  • Ph.D. Environmental Monitoring, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2002
  • M.S. Forest Management, University of Maine-Orono, 1993
  • B.S. Forest Management, University of Maine-Orono, 1990

    Research Interests
Remote sensing and forest ecosystem modeling with emphasis on examining scale effects and carbon sequestration potential.

My current work is funded by the Wisconsin Focus on Energy Environmental Research Program to simulate carbon budgets of Wisconsin forests using a combination of remote sensing and modeling. Results will be used to conduct life cycle analyses of forest product chains to help identify processes that can be modified to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
